LATEST NEWS: 2006 Tractor Run will be on Sunday
30th April 2006
The route from Wenhaston will take in Bramfield, Sibton, Heveningham,
Huntingfield and Walpole. |
On a lovely sunny May morning, the Sunday of the Spring Bank Holiday weekend, some 130 vintage tractors gathered at Wenhaston for the 7th East Suffolk Vintage Tractor Run. The event started and finished on land at Church Farm, Wenhaston (by kind permission of Roger Desborough) and was again a well-organised event bringing pleasure to many and much needed funds to this year’s beneficiaries, Macmillan Nurses and Southwold Lifeboat Museum.

The 2005 route again featured a lunch stop in Westleton, passing through Bramfield, Walpole, Sibton, Yoxford and Middleton along the way. The return to Wenhaston was via Darsham and Blythburgh. The vintage tractors looked splendid, some bedecked with balloons and flags, some towing trailers so that the family could come along for the ride. As they drove along their way, along country roads and lanes, they were greeted enthusiastically by other road-users and sight-seers.
