Holiday Accommodation in
Aldeburgh, Suffolk

  Coastguard Court

Aldeburgh Town

CoastGuard Court is fully booked until July 2008 and wil not be available for after that date.

The house in Coastguard Court is ideal for those who prefer self-catering accommodation, being a well designed three-storey mews house in a small modern courtyard development at the south end of Aldeburgh's popular High Street, having partial views over sea, the Slaughden shingle bank, with its Martello Tower, and the river estuary with Yacht Club; all a short walk from the property.

Added advantages are the sunny aspect, a pleasant balcony with wooden bench seat and, very important for Aldeburgh, two designated parking spaces within the courtyard.

THE AREA

The Suffolk coastline offers the visitor some 40 miles of unspoilt natural beauty, with small towns of great charm and interest, large expanses of timbered scenery and long stretches of completely virgin coastline. Only a few miles inland small towns of historical interest and considerable architectural merit join with lovely river scenery to enhance a part of England comparatively unscathed by the worst ravages of recent decades.

Along the coast there are a variety of villages and small towns, from the quiet sand dunes and shingle banks of Thorpeness, Dunwich, Southwold and Aldeburgh on the one hand, to the lively family resorts of Felixtowe and Lowestoft in sharp contrast.

The delightful estuaries of the Rivers Orwell, Deben and Alde provide an outstanding playground for sailing and pleasure boating of all kinds, with the large expanses of the Norfolk Broads also within easy reach. River walks give access to salt marshes and reed beds where interesting bird life can be studied. Inland there are half timbered houses, many with superb chimneys, and picturesque villages, magnificent churches and interesting castles; also several vineyards well worth a visit.

Throughout the Suffolk Heritage Coast a wide range of sporting facilities are available, including tennis, bowls, angling, golf, putting, riding, sailing, water skiing, wind surfing, swimming, snooker and squash. A set of golf clubs in the property's under-stairs cupboard is available for your use if you wish.
