Cinema @ The Cut - THE LIGHT BETWEEN OCEANS (12A)

Venue: The Cut Arts Centre, Halesworth IP19 8BY link
Director Derek Cianfrance, 2016, 133 mins, with Alicia Vikander, Michael Fassbender, Rachel Weisz, Jack Thompson.
Unashamedly sentimental this film is likely to set the toughest members of the audience weeping. Tom is an Australian ex-serviceman seeking solitude as a lighthouse keeper with his wife Isabel. The only shadow on the horizon is their childlessness. Then, miraculously, a boat with a dead man and a crying baby washes up on the shore. The cinematography is wonderful, if you can see it through your tears.
Ticket Details: Admission at door £5, Cinema Member £4
