Taking place daily 10am-4pm from Saturday 27 May to Sunday 4 June. How many of Minsmere's 5700 species can we find in a week? Our guides will be on hand to help you to spot many of Minsmere's birds, bugs and plants. Partners from other conservation organisations will help us identify some of our trickier species. Birdwatching for Beginners

Event lasts approx two and a half hours. BOOKING ESSENTIAL. Come and learn how to identify the fantastic birds that gather on the reserve at this time of year. Our RSPB guides will take you through all the steps for bird identification as well as showing you how to use binoculars and which field guides are best for you. No previous experience needed. Don't forget to bring your binoculars or ask at reception about loaning a pair for the day. Children must be accompanied at all times. Places are limited. so booking is essential.

Tours of Southwold Lighthouse take place on selected dates between April and October and are organised by Southwold Millennium Foundation under licence from the Corporation of Trinity House. PLEASE NOTE minimum height requirement of 1.1 metres tall to climb the tower. Last tour this session is at 12:30pm. NB-Please telephone in advance for group bookings of ten or more people.
