SPRING REGATTA at Southwold Model Yacht Pond

Organised by: Southwold Model Yacht Regattas
Venue: Southwold Model Yacht Pond IP18 6BN link
The first event of the 2017 programme. No entries are taken in advance for this regatta – just turn up on the day. Bring your own boats or borrow one from us, although these are on a ‘first come first served’ basis, so best to get there 30-45 minutes in advance of the regatta start to be sure of securing one, or contact us in advance.

A series of regular races (two lengths of the pond), followed by the May Cup: for younger sailors – in which their true ‘seamanship’ is tested by being asked to sail a different boat to the one they have practiced with! – as well as the Norwich & Peterborough Trophies, also for B and C Class.

There are no club membership requirements to sail in SMYR. Sailors of any age and ability are most welcome to join in any regatta, although the ‘Cups’ Regatta is by and large aimed at adults with a bit more of a competitive edge…! Next Regatta takes place 26th July.
