The Cut and Halesworth & District Museum present : MALT

Venue: The Cut Arts Centre, Halesworth IP19 8BY link
MALT - a collaboration between New Cut Arts and the Halesworth & District Museum - has been Halesworth's best-kept secret for nearly 2 years. During August, residents and visitors to Halesworth may have already come across the elements of a new trail snaking through the town in celebration of its rich malting heritage.

Today we are ready to unveil the other elements of the project–the MALT Experience at The Cut and the MALT Story leaflet which provides a full guide to the Trail. This is also the launch event for Halesworth's 2nd Heritage Open Weekend when several of the town's most historic buildings will also open their doors to the public.

Halesworth residents are invited to join us here at The Cut for a celebration of the project's completion and the unveiling of the MALT Experience – proceedings begin at 6:30pm in the theatre. The 'Experience' will then be open to all between 10am and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday 9th/10th September as part of the Heritage Weekend, and from then onwards during normal Cut working hours - Tuesdays to Saturdays.

George Longford just wants a quiet life. One evening, he is visited by Cyrus Armstrong whose urbane manner barely conceals a powerful menace. Accusing George of harming his sister, Cyrus threatens extreme physical pain. It is only the arrival of Cyrus’ mother which saves George. She cannot be more apologetic but the only way to be really safe is to get Cyrus far, far away…....
