Grand Henham Steam Rally

...with vintage fairground, vintage vehicles, working steam demonstration, craft stands, heavy horses, monster trucks and so much more. Taking place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September. The Grand Henham Steam Rally is a charitable organisation and has several beneficiaries; Southwold (Sole Bay) Lions Club, Wangford Community Council and the Pariochial Church Councils of Sotherton, Uggeshall and Wangford-cum-Henham. This year chosen beneficiaries are Clinks Care Farm, Halesworth Community Nursing Care Fund and the Sandra Chapman Centre at James Paget Hospital.
Dogs on leads and please clear up after your dog.
Free Parking. Camping and caravan sites-in advance £50.00, - at gate £57.00 (cash or card payments only). Camping available from Friday 15th-Mon 18th September.

Birdwatching for Beginners at RSPB Minsmere

Event lasts approx two and a half hours. BOOKING ESSENTIAL. Many people have begun birdwatching at Minsmere over the last 70 years. Our RSPB guides will take you through all the steps for bird identification as well as showing you how to use binoculars and which field guides are best for you. No previous experience needed. Don't forget to bring your binoculars or ask at reception about loaning a pair for the day. Children must be accompanied at all times. Places are limited. so booking is essential.

Tour of Southwold Lighthouse

Tours of Southwold Lighthouse take place on selected dates between April and October and are organised by Southwold Millennium Foundation under licence from the Corporation of Trinity House. PLEASE NOTE minimum height requirement of 1.1 metres tall to climb the tower. Last tour today is at 3:30pm. NB-Please telephone in advance for group bookings of ten or more people.
