Shot mainly in luscious black and white but also in colour. It is 1919 in Germany. Anna is mourning the death of her fiance in the war when a young Frenchman arrives in the village claiming to have been his friend. As romance blossoms it becomes clear that a mystery lies at the heart of their relationship. A gripping thriller reminiscent of Hitchcock.
