The Beach Mission is an All-age Christian holiday club with morning, afternoon and evening activities. Events are free and open to all, regardless of faith or belief.
We run groups for children aged between 5-18 yrs as well as activities for parents and toddlers. Age group time starts at 10am at various venues around Southwold Town (see website). All age groups then meet together and we finish with the Beach Special show on the beach (below the Red Lion Pub) which runs from 12-12:30.

On selected dates throughout July and August. Join us as we dip our nets into the pond to search for what life is present. Will you find a newt or dragonfly larva or water boatman. Afterwards you can explore the reserve and take part in our free self guided activities as you spot Minsmere's special wildlife. Drop in for as little time or as long as you like during the day.

This morning the local “Community First Responders”, volunteers in medical emergencies, will be discussing what they do. These are people who attend 999 calls while an ambulance is on its way. Time Out is a regular weekly informal meeting - a great way to meet new people.
Built in 1887 and standing 31 metres high Southwold Lighthouse is one of only ten lighthouses which Trinity House open to the public. Tours take place on selected dates March to October inclusive and are organised under licence by Southwold Millennium Foundation. Note that there is a MINIMUM HEIGHT restriction of 1.1 metres tall to climb the tower. Last tour commences 30 minutes before closing time. CLOSED FOR LUNCH 1pm-2pm.

Model yacht sailing has been taking place in Southwold for over 100 years. It is a tremendously fun and absorbing activity which is very easy to get the hang of, and people of all ages and abilities can join in. Anyone is welcome to come and have a go at sailing – we can even lend you a boat for the day and show you what to do.
Today, a regular programme of races (2 per boat) followed by the Collett Cup for Veteran Yachts (sailors of any age, but only boats built before 1957) and the St Edmund’s Cup, which is only for boats who received a burgee in the previous season.
