Model yacht sailing has been taking place in Southwold for over 100 years. It is a tremendously fun and absorbing activity which is very easy to get the hang of, and people of all ages and abilities can join in. Anyone is welcome to come and have a go at sailing – we can even lend you a boat for the day and show you what to do.
Today's informal regatta is to ‘find your sea legs’, and get your boats dusted off and running smoothly again after the winter. A programme of regular races (two per boat), probably with a point to point (when you have to try and sail in-between flags at the other end of the pond) – all entries are taken at the pond on the day, but please arrive at least 30 minutes in advance.
(Next Regatta date 28th July)
