Cinema @ The Cut - PHANTOM THREAD (15)

Venue: The Cut Arts Centre, Halesworth IP19 8BY link
Director Paul Thomas Anderson, 2017, UK, 130 mins, with Daniel Day-Lewis, Lesley Manville, Vicky Krieps, Gina McKee.
5 Stars. Allegedly Daniel Day Lewis‘s last film. For his swansong he plays an English couturier, Reynolds Jeremiah Woodcock, who is brilliant, irascible, controlling, but whose vulnerability becomes apparent when he falls desperately in love with a waitress. ‘There is such pure delicious pleasure in this film, in its strangeness, its vehemence, its flourishes of absurdity, carried off with superb elegance.’ (The Guardian)
Ticket Details: Standard £5
