Join David as he carries out his regular otter surveys at Minsmere. He’ll take you off the beaten track to look for spraints (droppings) and footprints and explain how we monitor these elusive mammals through their tracks and signs. You’ll also be able to check our trail camera footage. Will you be lucky enough to actually spot an otter? Event last 2-3 hours. After the walk you’ll meet the Suffolk Mammal Group volunteers to learn more about Minsmere’s otters.
Price: RSPB members £20, non members £25. Children half price. Maximum group size: six people.
Come and discover what makes Minsmere such a special place to visit in winter as our guides show you some of our wildlife and historical highlights. We’ll look for ducks, birds of prey and perhaps a few mammals and enjoy a bracing stroll along the beach. Event lasts approx 3 hours.

An event part of The Arts Society Southwold Season of Lectures: 'Travels in Rajasthan with Rudyard Kipling, Palaces and Temples, Monuments and Forts in the land of Kings. With speaker Elizabeth Merry.
As a young reporter working for the Lahore Gazette, Kipling took a journey through Rajasthan in the 1880s during which he produced some magical descriptions of the buildings he saw. In his company, we are invited to explore its architectural splendours and gain insights into the rich cultural history of the ‘Land of Kings’. Visitors and Members’ guests welcome.
