The Sibton Mighty Books-‘n-bric-a-brac Sale

Taking place 25th-27th May inclusive. Always a popular event with all proceeds going to urgently needed church repairs. Everything on sale is good quality second-hand: second-hand books, fiction includes a large number of sci fi titles; non-fiction local history is a specialism and there are often other rarities. Quality second-hand clothing; bric-a-brac, as well as LPs, DVDs and CDs. Children’s books and toys; plants. All items are individually priced. Refreshments all day and free car parking at IP17 2LX. Entry is free.

Using audience suggestions they will create a selection of completely new, completely improvised Canterbury Tales in front of your very eyes – hopefully enviable of Geoffrey himself. Guaranteed: fun, bawdry and bedlam.
Running time: 1 hour 30 mins, including 20 minute interval. Suitable for 12+years (parental guidance recommended).

VOXCETERA CHAMBER CHOIR: WERE'ER YOU WALK

Enjoy an evening of uplifting choral music in the glorious Holy Trinity Church, including works by Handel, Mozart, Tallis, Byrd, Fauré and Britten, and popular contemporary composers including Sir James MacMillan. The first half of the concert celebrates sacred music spanning four centuries, from the English renaissance to the present day, while second half features secular music on the theme of journeys. Making its third visit to Suffolk, Voxcetera has performed extensively across the capital, around the UK and overseas. The choir is conducted by Jane Hopkins and will be joined by the accomplished pianist and organist Paul Ayres.
