Birdwatching for Beginners at RSPB Minsmere

Event lasts approx two and a half hours. BOOKING ESSENTIAL. Many people have begun birdwatching at Minsmere over the last 70 years. Our RSPB guides will take you through all the steps for bird identification as well as showing you how to use binoculars and which field guides are best for you. No previous experience needed. Don't forget to bring your binoculars or ask at reception about loaning a pair for the day. Children must be accompanied at all times. Places are limited. so booking is essential.

Tours of Southwold Lighthouse take place on selected dates between April and October and are organised by Southwold Millennium Foundation under licence from the Corporation of Trinity House. PLEASE NOTE minimum height requirement of 1.1 metres tall to climb the tower. Last tour today is at 3:30pm. NB-Please telephone in advance for group bookings of ten or more people.

With Christine Walkden who tells of the Thrills and Spills of spending a life time working as a gardener and broadcaster. During this highly entertaining and informative presentation people often laugh and cry, and walk away inspired. Christine is a gardener, horticulturist, lecturer, trainer, garden centre advisor, tour leader and guide, broadcaster, writer and photographer. She has won the Royal Television Society award winner 'Best Daytime Series 2015'
 and the TV Gardener of the Year Award 2014 (Amateur Gardening Magazine) for Glorious Gardens From Above.
