The Very Model of an English Entertainment

The works of W.S.Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan. One of the Arts Society Southwold Season of Lectures, with speaker Roger Askew. This lecture is fully illustrated with musical examples and will examine how the peculiar geniuses of these two very different men came together, so creating one of the most individual and enduring forms of theatrical entertainment.
