Writer David Wollweber talks about the treasure trove of letters detailing the daily lives and concerns of a Victorian family living in Halesworth during the first half of the 19th century. Everything from the everyday business of domestic life, work and relationships in and around Halesworth, to their thoughts about events in the wider world.
David Wollweber will explain how this almost unique treasure trove was found, transcribed, researched and placed in its historical context.

Open Space Theatre Rehearsed reading : The Lover

A hilarious comedy by Harold Pinter. This event is part of Halesworth Heritage Happening for the national festival Heritage Open Days. Leading actors from David Green’s much admired local group will perform Harold Pinter’s tantalising and insightful miniature masterpiece without set or costumes. Emma Martin, Ben Willmott, and Yves Green will form the cast in a costumed and dramatised production which lasts 40 minutes.
