Hire A Guide At RSPB Minsmere

Book online - see below. Join our experienced guides for an exclusive half-day walk to explore Minsmere’s important habitats and discover some of the amazing wildlife there. This is a tailormade walk for a group of up to four people. Our guides will try to accommodate specific requests from attendees, wherever possible. Perfect for small groups of friends who wish to learn more about Minsmere together. For a larger group please see booking page below. Walk not recommended for children under 8 years old. No dogs, except registered assistance dogs. Bring your binoculars or ask about loaning a pair for the day. This walk is in celebration of 75 years of RSPB Minsmere.

Southwold Arts Festival : Morven Robertson – Head of UK projects BLUE

Venue: Southwold Arts Centre, Cumberland Road,Southwold IP18 6JP
Doors open 1:15pm. Known as BLUE, this charity was set up in 2010 by some of the team behind the award-winning documentary film The End of the Line. BLUE aims to restore the ocean to health by addressing overfishing and is dedicated to creating marine reserves, restoring vital habitats and establishing models of sustainable fishing. BLUE’s mission is to see 30% of the world’s ocean under effective protection by 2030.

Kids : Come and read to Ash the PAT Dog

Venue: Southwold Library, Hospital Hub, Field Stile Road,Southwold IP18 6LD link
Every Friday. The Read2Dogs scheme provided by PAT helps to improve literacy skills and wellbeing in young people by developing their confidence, interest, and enjoyment in reading. Dogs are non-judgemental and great listeners - they don’t interrupt or correct - so they aid confidence and concentration levels. PAT Dogs are also known to encourage positive social behaviours, enhance self-esteem and inspire young people to relax and have fun.
Come and read to Ash for up to 15 minutes at a time plus enjoy a range of dog-themed games, jigsaws, and crafts while you wait.
