An all day event featuring an Art Exhibition from 11am (indoors if wet), plus Open Gardens, and Wine Tasting at the church with local wines accompanied by Suffolk-produced snacks, and live music (£20-in aid of St.Mary's church). Michael Bullen : Art Exhibition at Walberswick

Venue: The Studio, Ferry Road, Walberswick IP18 6TN link
Exhibition dates June 15th — 27th. The Studio at Walberswick is an old wooden fisherman's house down by the harbour, built on stilts to protect it from the highest incoming tides. There is a large village car park just by the Gallery and also a couple of spaces at the Studio itself which can be used whilst at the Exhibition.

Stories & Shanties, at Thorington Theatre

Presented by The Silver Darlings and Mike Warner. There will be an interval during the performance. Suitable for all. The Silver Darlings are an all-female sea shanty crew from Southend-on-Sea, Essex. They sing shanties, songs of the sea and ditties nautical. They love the story-telling aspect to shanty-singing and are passionately committed to ensuring that these songs remain in the public domain and are not lost at sea. Having performed both nationally and internationally, these girls actively encourage audience participation and never fail to bring the shanty party.
Mike Warner is a consultant seafood writer, storyteller and artisan fishmonger. Growing up close to Felixstowe Ferry, on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, he developed a profound love of the sea, the fishing industry, and a deep-seated passion and affinity for seafood.
