Director Jon S. Baird, 2019, UK, 98 mins, with John C. Reilly, Steve Coogan, Shirley Henderson, Nina Arianda. In life as on screen our loveable heroes, Stan and Ollie, combine laughter and tears in equal measure. No longer in their prime they have come to London with their formidable wives in the hope of resurrecting their careers on stage. It's a hard struggle, with past wounds causing recriminations, but at the heart of it all is the indestructible bond of one of the funniest double acts in cinematic history. John C. Reilly and Steve Coogan deliver superb performances.
