Southwold Model Yacht Regattas - Pick-Up Regatta

Organised by: Southwold Model Yacht Regattas
Venue: Southwold Model Yacht Pond IP18 6BN link
Model yacht sailing has been taking place in Southwold for over 100 years. A tremendously fun and absorbing activity which is very easy to get the hang of. People of all ages and abilities can join in. Anyone is welcome to come and have a go at sailing – we can even lend you a boat for the day and show you what to do.
Today, an informal regatta to ‘find your sea legs’, get your boats dusted off and running smoothly again after the winter. A programme of regular races (two per boat), probably with a point-to-point (when you have to try and sail in-between flags at the other end of the pond) – all entries are taken at the pond on the day, but please arrive at least 30 minutes in advance. Next regatta 27th July.
Ticket Details: Entries taken on the day. No club membership requirement.

Cinema @ The Cut - GREEN BOOK (12A)

Venue: The Cut Arts Centre, Halesworth IP19 8BY link
Director Peter Farrelly, 2018, USA, 130 mins, with Viggo Mortensen, Mahershala Ali, Linda Cardellini, Sebastian Maniscalco. The Green Book is a guide to hotels and restaurants that accept black customers. For south bound African-American musician Don Shirley and his white driver Tony it is an essential requirement. Inspired by a true story, the relationship between the two men negotiates the snobbery of one and the barely concealed racism of the other, plus the added complication of role reversal. The brilliant performances of the two central roles alone make this film worthy of its Oscar for Best Picture.
Ticket Details: Standard Ticket £6.00, Cinema Members £4.00
